National Whitewater Kayak & Canoe Championships |
July 24-31 2010
Come and see whitewater racing at its best. This competition from Jul.27-Aug.1 includes 4 training days and 3 days of racing (1 downriver and 2 slalom). This event attracts 150 nationally ranked paddlers from across Canada and the US with age group up to master (40+) classes of events. July 24-28 will include an array of paddlesport disciplines competing in boatercross, canoe polo, open canoe slalom, freestyle, marathon canoe racing, sprint canoe/kayak events and a downriver race on the upper Gull. |

Haliburton Village BIA presents the most colour-full
community event of the season ...
The village of Haliburton will come alive with vibrantly coloured street displays – pumpkins, scarecrows, cornstalks, mums -- continuous entertainment, a bigger-than-ever vintage car display and parade, See the Colours bus ride to Skyline Park, Kids’ Colour Splash create-a-mural presented by the Rails End Gallery’s Art Attack, clowns, buskers, contests, prizes, a corn roast and so much more!
Visitors can enjoy Colourfest 2010 in Haliburton Village on Saturday from 10 to 4, and the Haliburton County Studio Tour in artists’ home-studios on Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 6.
Plus, Colourfest’s Pancake Breakfast is a delicious way to start the day at Haliburton United Church from 8 to 11.
